I have previously seem the same sort of problem; check the files
gendata.fil and the various .farm files in GenRunData; also the .header
files in GCGGenBank and GCGEMBL
If you make local modifications in these files, don't forget that they may
be overwritten during database updates using GCG's CD-ROM's.
Perhaps you are using EMBL as a primary database? GCG made the same kind
of splitting off of EST's in a previous release for those using GCG's
database updates.
