With both GCG 7.x on SunOS 4.1.3 and 8.x on Solaris, I can't specify
a range within the pattern specification.
e.g. Y{8,100} or Y{8,} for pyrimidine tracts, returns only
runs 8 bases long. That is, the 2nd number after the comma within
the braces which specifies the range limit is ignored completely.
This was tested on a sequence where larger repeats were known to be
present.
Also, if the pattern is specified on the commandline, the suggestion
of enclosing the comma within double quotes does not work either.
Does anyone have a fix for this?
