Currently I maintain all the major N and P data libraries for the BBSRC (see below
for expansion of FLA (Five Letter Abbreviation!).
I have now run up against a problem with creating BLAST indices with the program
TOBLAST, getting the following error for Genbank91
FATAL: gcg_pressdb Error #18: database too big; raise ENTRY_MAX
I believe this happens as Genbank has gone through the 500,000 sequence mark.
However in their wisdom :) GCG have not supplied the .c file for gcg_pressdb thus
making it impossible to recompile and try again.
Any suggestions?
I have tried an email to GCG but no reply yet.
ps Andy Big Nose if you are reading this it also happens when I try to create
an nrprot from all the protein libraries however I can do it for patchx, pir
swissprot and swissnew as this comes in below 150,000 the MAX I assume for
protein indices.
Help?
