How useful is GCG nowadays (vs Macs)

Except that you actually don't need to pass files to GCG via the WWW...
Files and 
GCG programs are on the same side of the net already! 
Attachment of local PC or Mac files might be a plus but is not required...

but should
be aware this is copyrighted material available for users from
GCG-licensed institutions 
that have version 8.0 of the package.
As the User's Guide for version 8.0 isn't available in electronic format
yet the User's
Guide, being from version 7.3, is not provided through this service as
was requested
by the Genetics Computer Group.
