In relation to GCG running on R8000 Challenge L with IRIX 6.0.1, we have
GCG running on the Challenge L R4400 IRIX 5.2 here at Fiocruz, Rio de Janeiro,
Brazil. We figured that upgrading to a R8000 chip would not be cost effective
from the GCG point of view, since GCG does not much floating point calculation.
Is that correct? (for other applications it might be..)
Did GCG not support the R8000, or the IRIX 6.0?
