Just two points:
a) This database (& updates) are available via anonymous ftp from
s-ind2.dl.ac.uk (SEQNET, the UK EMBnet node)
b) Saying "you don't need a database" is a little dangerous. Its almost
tantamount to saying "X is the best alignment program" and everyone
knows they're cpmplementary. For example, some bibliography is
better in EMBL as opposed to GenBank and vice versa
