Yes, this is true, but I think that one must beware of two points:
1. If your data-files are alignments and you have used "-" for gaps,
Readseq will not replace them and GCG will not accept them. You will need
to replace "-" with "." by text-editing.
2. Readseq does not appear to calculate the same checksums as GCG (and if
your files have originated from SeqApp, the checksums will appear as = 0).
Therefore Readeq-converted MSF files do need to be put through GCG
Reformat with the /MSF switch before they will be accepted by GCG execution
programs such as Plotsimilarity.
