EGCG will not work with GCG 8.0. There are crucial changes to the
subroutine library in GCG 8.0 which will not permit the present
version of EGCG to work. The EGCG development group is currently
looking into GCG 8.0 (ft2) for the purposes of getting
the extensions to work with the new release.
The above applies to UNIX, Vax/VMS and Open/VMS.
