Dear gcg-wizards,
Thank you all for your help in trying to identify the program. It turns
out that it WAS a program called lalign in Bill Pearson's FASTA package
and that the file was converted from GCG format to FASTA format by an
intermediary program (hence the .gcg-lalign).
