I have a protein which I believe, from the variation in mw and for other
reasons, to be glycosylated. I would like to begin to identify the
carbohydrates on this molecule. As I can blot this protein, I was thinking
of screening with a panel of lectins to gain a first idea of what the
carbohydrates might be. Is this the best and simplest approach? Are such
panels of lectins available? If not are there any obvious candidates that I
might start with?
