The Virtual Institute of Experimental Biology http://www.biosys.net/viwb or
http://emile-21.com/viwb/welcome.html and The Glycoscience Network
http://www.vei.co.uk/TGN/ are proud to announce the opening of a virtual
forum on "Automatic Glyco-molecule sequencing before the year 2005?"

The forum will cover all aspects of the determination of the primary
structure of complex carbohydrates as it is now, as it will develop and
what the prospects are of (and need for) automated sequencing of oligo-
and polysaccharides.

The forum will meet in the BioMOO at the VIWB lobby at a time to be
announced.

How to get to the VIWB lobby in BioMOO:
1. telnet bioinfo.weizmann.ac.il 8888 or
http://bioinfo.weizmann.ac.il/BioMOO and follow instructions,
when entered type "goto huji" (w/o ") or find in the map the GCG help
desk from which go northeast (type "ne") and then to the VIWB Lobby.

A forum discussion mailist will be formed, please send a short intro
about yourself (2 -3 lines), stating your interest in the forum and
your affiliation, to markman at gene.md.huji.ac.il (temporary address).
These intros will be used to help us determine how the forum will
develop. Eventually the information may be circulated to other members of
the forum.

We will submit a weekly review/summary to the glycosci newsgroup
and TGN mailing list as well.

WANTED!!!!
1. A volunteer editor / coordinator to the forum is wanted,
knowledge in mailing list management is highly recommended/required.
2. We are also seeking sponsorship (this can be in the form of
technology, computer space or work contributions, but donations would
be most appreciated)

Please contact Ofer Markman (markman at gene.md.huji.ac.il) in reply to
either of these requirements.
