Genesystems, Inc. is a small newly established Biotechnology company=20
engaged in the development of new innovative products for use in gene=20
therapy. We are located in the Texas Clear Lake area on the Gulf of=20
Mexico, equidistant from downtown Houston and Galveston. The location=20
provides for easy access to two major medical centers (University of=20
Texas Medical Branch, Galveston and University of Texas Health Science=20
Center, Houston) and a growing community of biotechnology companies.=20

We currently have 2 openings at the level of Staff Scientist and 1=20
opening for a Post-Doctoral Fellow:
Microinjectionist: A BS, MS, or PhD in the areas of cell=20
biology/biochemistry/molecular biology or equivalent is required. The=20
individual should be well versed in the various methods of=20
microinjection especially with glass needle-mediated microinjection.=20
Experience with cell culture techniques is considered a plus but not a=20
requirement. The individual will be responsible for performing=20
experiments requiring glass needle-mediated microinjection technology,=20
maintaining various cell culture lines, and will also participate in=20
planning and conducting experiments.
Cell Biologist/Biochemist: A BS, MS, or PhD in the areas of cell=20
biology/biochemistry/molecular biology or equivalent is required.=20
Experience handling extracellular matrix macromolecules or peptides,=20
performing cell culture, and general protein chemistry is considered a=20
plus but not a requirement. The individual will be responsible for=20
maintaining various cell culture lines and will also participate in=20
planning and conducting experiments.
Salary is commensurate with experience. Starting date can be as early=20
