The research program of the carbohydrate section of the Department of
Bio-Organic Chemistry, Bijvoet Center for Biomolecular Research at Utrecht
University, The Netherlands (Prof. Dr J.F.G. Vliegenthart and Prof. Dr J.P.
Kamerling) is focused on primary / three-dimensional structure analysis of
glycoprotein glycans and polysaccharides, biosynthesis and organic
synthesis of oligosaccharides, and interaction studies.
In the framework of an EU networkproject focused on "engineering protein
O-glycosylation for the production of receptor blockers" we announce a
vacancy for a post-doctoral position for 1 year, for a topic on the
synthesis of oligosaccharide substrates to be tested in relevant
glycosyltransferase reactions. The position is immediately available!
