POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH POSITION
Applications are invited for the position of Postdoctoral Research
Fellow in a dynamic multidisciplinary neuroglycobiology laboratory
located in the Department of Pharmacology and Neuroscience which has a
particular interest in the biochemical changes that occur in Alzheimer's
disease (AD).
The position, funded by the Scottish Hospital Endowments Research Trust,
is for one year in the first instance with the possibility of an
extension for up to 3 years and it will examine altered protein
glycosylation states in AD. The techniques involved in the study include
cell culture, protein purification by chromatography, molcular biology
and carbohydrate sequencing and experience in one or more of these
techniques would be an advantage, although training will be provided.
Salary will be on the Grade 1A research scale, subject to qualifications
and experience.
