Dear Glycoscientists,
Firstly, I apologise if I have sent this request to the wrong newsgroup but
I am rather new to these newsgroups so I hope you will forgive me.
I was writing to see if anyone could help me out with some nmr data. I have
been looking for nmr data (13C and 1H) on the disaccharide 2-acetamido-2-deo
xy-3-O-beta-D-galactopyranose (beta-D-Gal-[1->3]-D-GalNAc ; galacto-N-biose)
. The carbohydrate is available from Sigma but neither Sigma or Aldrich
have any nmr data on the product. I have a small amount (5mg in total) of
the carbohydrate, most of which I need for further reactions, and am at
present submitting a sample for 1H and COSY analysis but the carbohydrate
is very expensive (£131.50 for 5mg) and so I cannot afford to order very
much to get a successful 13C analysis.
If anybody out there has any nmr data on this saccharide, or could point me
towards a suitable reference, I would be very grateful.
Best regards,
