Dear all,
I am working on the microheterogeneity of human serum albumin (HSA),
as received from isoelectric focusing.
I am searching for a gentle method to deglycosylate nonenzymatically
glycosylated HSA.
One option might be using N-glycosidase F (Boehringer Mannheim, FRG)
but it cleaves N-bound carbohydrates at asparagine, while HSA binds
glucose at lysine. Boehringer has not got any information, wether it
will work on lysine or not.
Any information on deglycosylation of HSA with glycosidases or other
methods would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Kai
