I am working with a protein which has sialic acid on O-linked Thr glycan
(classic NAcAl-Gal 2-3SA

2-6SA
My question is this...does poly sialic acid have to be in the 2-8
linkage, what is the linkage to, and which amino acid is involved? Can
the sialic acid form a 2-3 chain? or a 2-6 chain?, can you get
polysialylation on the classic O-linked glycan?
