I tried to reach Christer Ericsson of Stockholm, who asked questions about
Fuc-binding lectins for Fuc1,3GlcNAc. However, my response was returned due
to inacurate address. Here's the message:
L. tetragonolobus reacts w/ 1,6-linked Fuc (terminal only), U. europaeus w/ 1,2-
linked but not 1,3- or 1,6-linked Fuc. Thus, if your glycoprotein contains 1,3-
linked Fuc, neither L. tetragonolobus nor U. europaeus reacts w/ it. Both A.
anguilla and A. aurantia recognize Fuc with substitution (e.g., O-methyl).
Hope this will be of any help to you.
