There was an error regarding acid hydrolysis conditions for aminosugar
analysis in my previous post. Aminosugars are quantitatively released from
glycoproteins by hydrolysis in 2N HCl (NOT 6N) at 110C for 12 h. Oligo-
saccharides (no protein) may be hydrolyzed in 2N HCl at 110C for 6 h.
