Re: Reverse patch-clamp
Edwin Donath, who works in our institute of Biophysics and is a specialist in
patch-clamp, asked me to forward the following message to the net. His e-mail

This procedure is largely in use in patch clamping in the whole cell mode.
But one should consider that in parallel many substances will leak out of the
cell into the pipette. It is also unclear how to see any other effects except
electrophysiological changes because a whole cell patch is irreversible.
