I have read some articles that suggets that during the act of GTP binding
when the Gs alpha protein disaccosiates from the the G beta-gamma subunits
of the G protein complex that this lowers the affinity of a hormone
receptor for its hormone substrate. If this is true, could anyone please
tell me a physical reason why or references that might know. Thank you
for your time.
