The International Symposium on Bioinformatics Research and Applications
(ISBRA) provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and results among
researchers, developers, and practitioners working on all aspects of
bioinformatics and computational biology and their applications. ISBRA
is the successor to the International Workshop on Bioinformatics
Research and Applications (IWBRA), held on May 22-25, 2005 in Atlanta,
Georgia and on May 28-31, 2006 in Reading, UK in conjunction with the
International Conference on Computational Science.

We are pleased to announce that keynote speeches will be given by
Prof. Ming Li of the University of Waterloo, Dr. Laura L. Elnitski of
the National Institutes of Health, and Prof. Mark Borodovsky of Georgia
Tech. The program also includes two tutorials, presentations of 60
high-quality full papers, and 25 posters. Sessions will cover the
following topics:

* Gene expression analysis
* Phylogenetics
* Phylogenetics and genomic diversity
* Software tools
* Gene selection
* Motif finding
* Genome analysis
* Sequence analysis
* Cancer classification
* RNA and protein structure
* Clustering and classification
* Protein structure and nucleosome dynamics
* Gene networks, pathways, and protein domain interactions

To view the complete program or register for ISBRA, please visit the
conference web site: http://www.cs.gsu.edu/ISBRA/.

ISBRA 2007 will be held at Georgia State University in Atlanta.
Atlanta's major attractions--Centennial Olympic Park, Underground
Atlanta, CNN Center, the World of Coca-Cola, and the Georgia Aquarium
(the largest in the world)--can all be reached by a ten-minute walk
from the GSU campus.
