I am sorry for following up a bit late. Just a quick question before climbing up the
wrong tree:
Is this (related to) the problem which prevents retrieving long/split GCG sequences
from the databanks? If so, I would like to present another workaround by substituting
the SEQUENCE processing functions by STRING processing ones without modifying the
source code. You can find the code and comments in my syntax files (e.g.: embl.is) at
http://www.tigem.it/srs5/.
N.B. It worked fine for me for several month with the GCG databases but now I am using
the native db files.
