SAS is mainly a statistical analysis package. And despite the fact that
many statistical packages try to "ride the wave" of popularity of
bioinformatics software, the dedicated packages for sequence analysis are
mostly better suited. Better have a look at for instance EMBOSS
(www.emboss.org); it is very much complete for most types of analysis AND
it is free!
