again on 3 October 2005. The application deadline is 16 September.
The course covers the use of the most popular software for sequence
analysis. It is one of a series of Masters level modules from the
University of Manchester, UK. These modules may be studied either
individually, or as elements of the full MSc in Bioinformatics.
The MSc modules follow two themes, Bioinformatics and Computer Science.
The Bioinformatics modules are:
Introduction to Molecular Biology for Computer Scientists
Introduction to Bioinformatics
Introduction to Microarray Data Analysis
Theory and Applications in Bioinformatics
The Bioinformatics of Protein Structure
The Science of Proteomics
Medicinal Chemistry (provided by the University of California, San Diego)
Molecular Modelling and Structure-based Drug Design
The computing modules are:
Introduction to programming (C or Java)
Intermediate Java
Biocomputing
Object-oriented analysis and design with UML
