Hi,
I am the maintainer of the fink package for EMBOSS and since a week
version 2.7.1 is available in the unstable tree. I have also ported
the EMBOSS-kaptain GUI with fink, which provides a nice and usable GUI
in the X-Windows system.
I would like if people could test it, and send me feedback how it
works and if there are any problems. You need to enable the unstable
tree for these packages to be installed, see
<http://fink.sourceforge.net/faq/usage-fink.php#unstable> how to do
this.
