I´m looking for the "perfect assembling tool" :)
Actually we´re using phrap (staden package) to assemble bacterial
genomes. It is running on a 2 CPU Solaris machine and it´s not very fast
and uses a _lot of memory.
Does anyone know other, better tools for assembling large shotgun
sequencing projects ? Parallel-Versions would be nice.
