You've gotten further than me; I haven't been able to get DBWatcher to
run for a few years using the network blast client; (when it was up,
it was working like a champ though).
FIY, at a meeting here in La Jolla, Susan Chacko from NIH presented a poster
on an NIH in-house system called WHALES (sp?), which does alerts for
both sequence searches and references too. I believe that once she hacks
the code for more general use, she'll make the code (not the service!)
available for others to use; I'll give you further info if interested.
