We anticipate that research positions will be available at appropriate
post-doctoral levels at the Delaware Biotechnology Institute (DBI) - a
new initiative jointly supported by the State of Delaware, The
University of Delaware and an industry consortium.
REQUIREMENTS:
These positions require a Ph.D. in areas related to Bioinformatics and
Computational Science for Biotechnology: including Electrical and
Computer Engineering, Computer and Information Science or other related
computational science areas with biology interests such as computational
biochemistry, computational molecular biology, etc.). Experience in
high-
performance computing, database management and data mining, computer
modeling and visualization techniques is advantageous.
DUTIES:
Participate, organize and supervise cutting-edge research projects
related to bioinformatics; supervise and coordinate the work of graduate
students; help in grant proposal preparation and reporting; write
technical papers and participate in certain teaching activities in the
related fields.
