repeat search

I posted a similar question a month back in "proteins".  The best
replies that I found useful are shown below, but none are very
satisfying to me.  Anybody got better ideas please???

Repro is the most famous.  The only working copy I have found is

SIM - Alignment Tool for protein sequences

(note, here, enter the same sequence as seequence 2)

SAPs give repeats as part of its result.

I don't know if these programs will handle "genomes", but they work ok
for proteins.
