I posted some time a question about a sequence format conversion
tool for Windows. After searching the Web I finally found a very
useful and free program. It is called SeqVerter and is available
from the GeneStudio, Inc. Website (www.genestudio.com).
What I liked about this utility is the intuitive design,
drag-and-drop operation, and compatibility with automatic
sequencer trace files (ABI, SCF).
GeneStudio announces also the upcoming full (commercial version)
of their suite. From the description it seems to be a very
powerful and well-designed program. It may give LaserGene
(DNAStar, DNA*), VectorNT, and Sequencher a run for their money.
