C++ programmer wanted immediately.
An exciting position exists for an experienced C++ programmer with
Anatomics in Brisbane, Australia. Anatomics is a world leader in
BioModelling technology which allows the conversion of medical scan data
into solid anatomical BioModels using rapid prototyping. Such BioModels
are used by surgeons for operative planning and custom implant design.
Anatomics is based at the Queensland Manufacturing Institute and
utilises Australia’s most advanced manufacturing and computing
capabilities (SGI Visual Manufacturing Centre).
Experience in C++ development for SGI IRIX with OpenGL skills
preferable. Experience with medical imaging, in particular volume
rendering of CT scans desirable. Medical imaging functions are to be
linked in from a set of C++ libraries, thus emphasis is on image display
and manipulation. Image Networking (via DICOM) is to be incorporated
into the software as well. A Windows NT version of the software is to be
compiled and experience here would be useful.
Employment will be by contract for a period of 3 months initially, with
renewal for at least 1.5 years after that. The rate of pay will be
negotiable.
