Have the same problem ... Tried to install RefMan 8.0 on two machines with
Windows NT-sp3(HP Kayak XU-350 Workstation and a noname computer with a Cyrix
P200+ processor). None of the two installations worked. Impossible to open
the 'sample' database without a breakdown of the program. Dr. Watson for NT
indicates an access violation (0xc0000005), adress 0x6da35241 for both
machines. Updating with RefMan Version 8.01 did not help ... it was getting
even worse! The Dr. Watson window did not appear any more and the only way to
get out of the hanging program was 'ctrl-alt-del' and the 'end-task' command.
