I've looked into a listing of archives in science, and have found names
that might relate with interesting programs. Most were found on CD's so you
have a good chance you can find them on the more popular sites as
sumex-aim.stanford.edu or its mirror src.doc.ic.ac.uk/packages/mac-sumex or
/mac-umich.
Names found include MacMolecule(lite), mol-view, crystal-designer,
fold-it-light, micro-world (ball and stick), mito prot (fwiiw),
chem-project(?), crystal-maker, cs-chem-draw, cs-chem-tree, cryst-math,
chon-modeller, cryst-math.
Hope this helps you to get on their track.
