CO, Denver area; Software QA Engineer/Test Specialist; Medical Equipment;
C++, OOA/D; QNX. Job Description This position will involve a mix of the
following activities:1. assess the software test/validation needs 2. formulate
and implement test/validation processes to be used during development
and qualification of product. 3. evaluate, select, and use off the shelf
software tools as needed, working with vendors as required. 4. define,
implement, and maintain software tools as needed 5. assess risk hazard
associated with product design in general and various product software
components in particular. 6. work closely with developers in these activities
7. performing and documenting validation tests as needed 8. generating
test/validation plan documents 9. generating test tool requirements documents
10. generating design documents for tools developed inhouse. 11. defining
and implementing processes effective at improving our software quality.
Required qualifications 1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering,
or related technical field. 2. 2+ years software development (code,debug)
experience (using C or C++) - product or tools development acceptable.
3. 1+ years software testing experience - test requirements, test development,
and usage. 4. good communications skills - writing specs, plans, etc,
verbal presentations. 5. team oriented attitude and vision 6. interest
in insuring product quality and reliability 7. demonstrates initiative
8. works well with others 9. demonstrates taking responsibility.Desired
qualifications
1. coding and debugging of C++ 2. experience using an Object Oriented
methodology 3. test tools development 4. experience with Unix flavor of
OS 5. experience with developing or testing a realtime product 6. experience
with Watcom tools 7. experience developing or testing medical products
8. 3+ years software development and/or software test 9. familiarity with
microsoft tools and NT environment 10. experience with regulator agency
compliance (FDA). To $80K
