There is a lot of software available for quantitating images.  We're
independent reps for software, and can try to point you in some
directions, but it's helpful to know what you want to do with the
images, your platform, and your price range (bottom is freeware, top is
about $10K for software alone).  Whether or not you need to relate to
images already scanned is important as well.
