Which is the best computer program to use in the molecular biology
laboratory (PC running Windows NT/95 or linux)? Our immediate needs
include:
database of clones, primers
restriction anaylsis
multiple alignment
fragment assembly
profile anaylsis
ORF analysis
At present we are using a collection of free/shareware programs and
whatever is available on various Web sites. However, not all of the
above functions are available. Any suggestions?
