Alex:

For aligning sequences, take a look at MACAW.  For editing/displaying
multiple sequence files, try VISED, which reads MACAW aligment files.
Both are specifically written for windows, and can be downloaded by
ftp from:

ftp.bio.indiana.edu in the directory molbiol/ibmpc.
