program for 3D reconstruction from cross sections

The Nuages package by Bernard Geiger is probably the best (UNIX) tool for
reconstructing the 3D surface of an object of which only cross-sections
are available. Specificly, it can handle splitting (ie. 2 contours in
one cross-section and 2 in the next) very well.

Only problem is the lack of a user-interface. Input and output are
plain textfiles.

For a graphical user-interface (for UNIX) take a look at my Mvox software
package. Among the other things it does, it provides an interactive user-
interface for Nuages.
