Dear Sequin users,
A new version of Sequin (1.78) is now available by anonymous FTP from
ftp://ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sequin/
The major change in this version affects submitters preparing sets of
sequences as part of a phylogenetic, population, or mutation study.
You now have a choice of how to provide the organism name and other
source modifiers (such as strain or chromosome). You can pre-annotate
your FASTA or PHYLIP files as before, or, alternatively, you can enter
the information directly on a new Sequin spreadsheet.
Additional information about Sequin is available from:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/Sequin
As always, please do not hesitate to contact us (info at ncbi.nlm.nih.gov)
if you have any questions or comments.
Regards,
francis (for the Sequin development team)
