Andy:
DNASTAR's Lasergene for Windows program will allow you to view ABI
scan files, extract and edit the sequence. However, it works only in
the context of Seqman, the sequence assembly module. The suite seems
to work moderatley well, but I have found the demo package somewhat
unstable (better under Win95 than Win3.11).
