New E-Mail Server Announcement:
Several years ago we established a Pythia server for the identification,
elimination and classification of repetitive DNA (Jurka, J.
& Milosavljevic, A. J. Mol. Evol. 32: 105-121, 1991; Jurka, J.,
Walichiewicz, J. & Milosavljevic, A. J. Mol. Evol. 35: 286-291, 1992).
Pythia continues to serve many users, although there is some
uncertainty about its future. Today, we are opening the second
server based on a different program known as CENSOR (Jurka, J.,
Klonowski, P., Dagman, V., Pelton, P. Computers & Chemistry, in
press). Currently, our server is running CENSOR for human DNA
sequences only and it automatically classifies Alu sequences.
In the near future we plan to run it for non-human sequences
as well.
For more information and instructions, put the word "help" on a single
line in the body of an e-mail message and send it to the CENSOR e-mail
server address:
