I have acquired a copy of NIH-Image for scanning Northern blots
and calculating the density of the various bands. This is a
Mac based package that my informants suggest is appropriate.
Now I need to buy a scanner! (There is no bionet.hardware group).
Can people please advise? I have a blurb for an Agfa StudioScan,
but don't want to buy this just because its the only information
I have.
I am not committed to NIH-Image either, if there are better
products out there.
What I want is an affordable, reliable solution to a particular
problem. Perhaps given that I have already some Macs (and
IBM-PCs): ie I don't need an (?expensive) all-in-one-box
commercial package.
