Protein Information Resource Release 43 is now available from the
UH Gene-Server (what's left of it, anyway).
The data base is available on
ftp.bchs.uh.edu:/pub/gene-server/pir/pir_rel43/{ascii,vms,vms_lzw}/...
The vms_lzw directory contains files compressed with lzcmp, not ZCOMPRESS
(== Unix compress).
The vms directory contains the vms_lzw files in Unix compress format
(.Z) and suitable for use with Unix and VMS GCG software.
Release 43 will be available on the UH Gene-Server PIR Gopher tomorrow
after 12:00 noon central time (there's still a lot of disk space missing
and I have a lot of shuffling to do!). That gopher server is
gopher.bchs.uh.edu.
