The UH Gene-Server FTP site and PIR Gopher retrieval is
back up. The DNS entries for gopher.bchs.uh.edu and ftp.bchs.uh.edu
have been changed but it could take up to several days for the change
to propagate to nameservers around the net.
FTP is available at 129.7.2.24, aka ftp.bchs.uh.edu;
Gopher is at 129.7.2.24, aka gopher.bchs.uh.edu.
The email server will be down a while longer -- sorry about that.
One dead disk is now on its way to California or Japan for repair,
and won't be back for a few weeks. The hardware gets to go places
I've never been...sigh.
I'm working on completely replacing the Gene-Server hardware but it
will take some time.
