Another option is to use formatting software which writes AC records
into the split sequences... you could write a small tool which does
the seq and ref formatting. The only problem with such a solution
is to generate only ASCII files as the seq-compression into 2 Bytes
as GCG does it might be too complicated to use in a quick tool.
