If you do a lot of Photoshop work, I would go for a PowerMac. Nothing
beats a power Mac running native Photoshop. (See Mac[World|User] late
last fall for review)
EndNote, a common bibliography program, comes with the ability to
import procite references (at least version 1.2.1 did, why would they
take it away in version 2?).
Mac programs tend to play together better than Windoze or Dos
programs, and the naming system is better, i.e., one is allowed longer
names with any characters. This is not trivial. I save memos for my
committee by the date written as ComMemoDD/MM/YY. This is really
handy. It will also be handy when you work on many different versions
of similar projects in Photoshop.
It is not that I don't know how to use a PC; I regularly do work on
PC, Unix, and VMS boxes. But difficulty is no measure of virtue. Sure
I occasionally miss having a CLI on the Mac, but there are
workarounds.
