PIR RELEASE 44 available
The UH Gene-Server files have been updated with release 44 of
the PIR. Anonymous ftp for the ascii and vms_lzw version is available on
ftp.bchs.uh.edu in pub/gene-server/pir/pir_rel44/vms_lzw or
pub/gene-server/pir/pir_44/ascii. Login as "anonymous" and send your
e-mail address as the password.
The conversion of files into the format needed for GCG are under
construction. The will be in the .../pir/pir_rel44/vms directory when
available.
The UH PIR Gopher server is also updated with the PIR 44 files.
Point your gopher to gopher.bchs.uh.edu, select "Fast PIR Lookup"
The gopher now includes files from the NRL-3D database.

EMAIL ACCESS
Email access to the Gene-Server software archive is still being
reconstructed after our multiple disk/processor failures. Software is
available by anonymous FTP and Web (at http://www.bchs.uh.edu).
