Lawrence P. Casson (lpcasson at phoenix.princeton.edu) wants to know if Excel
can be used to fit nonlinear functions. You can do this with *Solver*
using Excel 4 (Mac version). I do not know what the equivelent PC version
would be called. See MacWorld October 1994 page 156 for this procedure or
EMail me your fax number and I'll send the page to you. We also use
Systat for nonlinear functions-this will give you the statistics also.
