What's a Disk Image?

Okay everyone!!  Thanks for your help.  I now know what a disk image is
and have piles of software to decode them on my Mac.  In fact, I probably
have more disk file decoding software than Apple Computer themselves!
Perhaps I should set up an FTP site:

  ftp.ignorant.twit.diskimage.uk !!! :-)
